Get to know the blacksmith
My name is Mitch, and I've always loved making things. After serving four years in the Army in the early 2010s, I discovered bladesmithing through YouTube and the TV show Forged in Fire. Smiths like Walter Sorrels, J. Neilson, David Baker, Michael Chuthulu, Man at Arms, That Works, and BlackBearForge inspired me to take scrap metal and steel and create something real.
For years I dabbled in knife making and random forging projects. Then life took an unexpected turn—I became a full-time Farrier. While learning to shoe horses, I realized I had a genuine talent for forging. From that point on, nearly every spare moment and scrap of metal went into my forge.
That passion grew into something bigger. I decided to go all in and launch MB Blacksmithing.
Every piece I make is hand-forged and unique. I hope my work inspires you to appreciate the craft, the artistry, and the character that only comes from metal shaped by hammer and fire.
