Get to know the blacksmith
My name is Mitch. I have always had a love of making things for as long as I can remember. After I did a 4 year stent in the army back in the early 2010s I started playing around with bladesmithing off and on after watching YouTube videos and the TV show Forged in Fire. Several that really gave me inspiration were Walter Sorrels, J. Neilson, David Baker, Michael Chuthulu, Man at Arms, That Works, BlackBearForge and many others I can't remember off the top of my head. Watching them create things out of scrap metal or just blocks of steel made me want to try.
Somehow after many years of dabbling in knife making and random forging. I fell into a line of work I wouldn't have never expected and it pushed me into blacksmithing. I currently work as a full time Farrier which the school I went to too learn more about shoeing horses I realized I actually had a pretty good knack at forging. From then on pretty much all my free time and all scrap metal that would fit in my forge got hammered on. So much so that Ive decided to go all out and try to start this online blacksmith shop.
I hope all I make can make people smile and interested in blacksmithing and the uniqueness that comes from hand forged items.
